Ashley and Hope were born with Adenylosuccinate Lyase Deficiency. This metabolic disorder left them with a damaged brain resulting in seizures and profound psychomotor delay. They were not expected to live past infancy. Although they were palliative care, we kept them at home to love and hold. Ashley died on March 18th,2011 (6yrs old) and Hope followed her home on August 14th, 2011 (4yrs old). We now continue our journey as a 'Family of Four'.

She looks so sweet and little in that bed! I hope she recovers and is able to handle the tube. Love you guys!
This is the first morning I showed Aurelie the blog and she pointed to Hope and said "baby sick mommy, I hope she feel better", so there are some well wishes from Aurelie too- I tell her that all your children are her cousins and we check the blog each morning at breakfast to see how everyone is. Wishing you well- The Forsters
Hi Jolene and Alex,

Praying that all goes smoothly and you are home soon!
Hope is SO adorable - even going into surgery. I'm glad to read that things went well and I hope that you are able to get home soon.
